Comparison Shopping

I’ve been catching up on some blog reading lately and I've noted a whole lot of people bragging about being ready for Christmas. Decorating done, shopping done, gifts wrapped, baking done. Humph. I don’t know what I’d do between now and Christmas if I wasn’t way way behind!

A light dusting of snow

So, today is list day!

1.  Chocolates from La Maison du Chocolat, 225 rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré

Chocolates shaped like hockey pucks (That's just silly.  Chocolates from Paris)

2.  Silk scarf from Galeries Lafayettes

Silk scarf from Holt Renfrew’s (They come from Paris so no problem there)

Christmas decorations

3.  Paris Christmas Market, Champs Elysées

Montreal Craft Show/Salon des métiers d'art , Place Bonaventure (Oh, that sounds pretty good actually)

Banque Nationale de Paris, Montréal

4.  Dinner for two at Le Procope, 13 Rue Ancienne Comédie

Dinner for two at l'Entrecôte Saint-Jean (Hey, that’s not so bad either)

Window shopping

When I think of it, there’s not much difference between shopping in Montréal and Paris. The quality of goods are the same, the sales people are all French speaking, both cities are decorated beautifully, both have snow this year....making a list really does help!

  1. That's some serious snow you have! All the snow from here has disappeared now unfortunately so you're pictures have cheered me up somewhat :)

  2. I hope you get some more before Christmas!
