Memory. There's A Limit!

This memory is a keeper
I’ve been blogging for about two months now. I admit I’m having fun just going on about this and that, but really, I’m wondering now how much nonsense is taking up room in my brain. There are memories I certainly wouldn’t want to lose, but some of the other things I could well do without. Maybe we should get Bill Gates and Steve Jobs to work on erasing unnecessary files from the hard drives in our heads. Think of all the space we’d have for important things!

There are several gigs of memory I’d be happy to lose:

  • Telephone numbers from the 80’s. (Maybe I’d remember my PIN numbers now)
  • Song lyrics from really really bad songs
  • How to clean appliances I no longer own
  • Endings of movies I want to watch again
  • My dresses when I was a kid
  • The greasiest meal I ever ate
  • Shingles
  • Cream fish (UGH)
You have to wonder how smart we’d be if we could only put this part of our brains to use. Of course we’d have to insist on back-up, reboot, and a good search engine.

OK Bill, Steve – get going!

Now that this thought has been written down, I’d like to forget it.
