An optimist stays up until midnight to see the new year in. A pessimist stays up to make sure the old year leaves.
So Long 2010!
Ta ta....so long.....here’s your hat, what’s your hurry?!! Get lost, don’t come back, we hate to see you go but........
I won’t be doing the New Year’s resolution thing. You know, the promises that begin January 1 of each year. Some of the more popular ones are:
Go to fitness
Get out of debt
No no no. It’s all so negative. That’s the perfect way to start the New Year on the wrong foot. You'll be depressed, in a bad mood watching your friends have all the fun, and it’s all downhill from there.
Instead, think of all the things you now enjoy that you’ll keep on doing without so much as another thought:
Negative Things I Plan to Continue in the New Year
(Let’s get them out of the way first)
- Gripe about my petty problems that really aren’t all that important in the overall scheme of things. Still, we all have to vent sometimes! Right?
- Continue to spend too much money on cosmetic products. How can you not buy something that absolutely promises to make you look 20 years younger and fabulous in 5 days or less? It would be stupid not to try! (Unless you’re 20 years old of course - then these products could be dangerous).
- Eat out far too often. Cooking won’t become a priority no matter how hard I try so let's just give it up. We like food, we hate cooking. No, correction, we hate doing groceries. So, no food, no cook.
Positive Things I Plan to Continue
Will also continue to do all the things that aren’t negative. Great! That was super easy!
I’m looking forward to 2011. It’s going to be a good year. I can feel it in my bones.
Wishing you a very happy and healthy New Year
